On Wednesday, the Biden-Harris campaign released a new ad attacking President Donald Trump – with Nikki Haley playing a lead role – in a video meant to distract voters and take attention away from Biden’s cognitive decline and his gaffe-filled speeches that have become all too common at the presidential podium.
In a speech in New Hampshire back in January, President Trump innocently confused Nikki Haley with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) – and the mainstream liberal press, Biden and Haley seized the moment – and began leveling attacks against the popular former president.
Trump has maintained an aggressive schedule, criss-crossing the country and giving speeches where he stands at the podium for 60 to 90 minutes at a time – often without notes. And a few weeks ago, media outlets covered Trump’s private jet – dubbed Trump Force One – landing in the early hours of the morning after a long day of campaigning.
Biden’s cognitive decline is getting worse and the dazed and confused commander-in-chief has become an international embarrassment and a liability for Democrats on the ballot in November.
And while Trump keeps a full schedule, records show that Biden has spent 40 percent of his time as president on vacation – or nearly 400 days.
Polls also reveal that a staggering 77 percent of Americans believe that Biden is too old to be president.
In September, Democratic strategist James Carville sounded the alarms during an appearance on CNN after polls showed that Americans are concerned about Biden’s age.
“You can’t look at this and not say that you’re concerned. For me to come on television and say I don’t find this alarming or troubling at all would be stupid. I wouldn’t do that.”
In November, Democratic strategist and CNN political commentator David Axelrod echoed Carville’s concerns about Biden’s age and the polling results.
“The one number in the polling that was concerning, and in the CNN poll that followed after The New York Times poll, had to do with age, and that is one thing you can’t reverse no matter how effective Joe Biden is behind the scenes. In front of the camera, what he’s projecting is causing people concerns, and that is worrisome.”
And for Biden – this is a big problem when two of the nation’s top Democratic operatives are all saying the same thing – that Biden’s age is a major factor and polling reflects that.
Late this past Fall, Biden was spotted falling asleep during an international climate change conference in Scotland. The images caught the international media by storm as television cameras captured a White House aide trying to catch the president’s attention and wake him up.
Trump continues to dominate the Republican presidential primary field and he leads his only opponent Nikki Haley – who has the support of the anti-Trump wing of the Republican party and stars in Biden campaign ads – by a staggering 56 points.
Trump not only amassed a historic victory in Iowa, where he defeated Haley by 32 points, but he also easily defeated Haley nine days later in the New Hampshire primary by 11 points. And in South Carolina where Haley was born and raised and served as governor – she’s trailing Trump by 34 points. In Texas – another important state – Trump is beating Haley by 61 points.
On the eve of the New Hampshire primary, a CNN correspondent reporting live from the White House – shared with the liberal, anti-Trump audience that they had just spoken with a senior Biden campaign aide who said that Haley staying in the race against Trump was “welcomed news.”
Haley refuses to drop out of the race despite trailing Trump in every poll. And during her two election night speeches in Iowa and New Hampshire where she lost big to Trump, Haley appeared to be giving victory speeches.
The next Republican primary is in South Carolina on February 3rd.
