By voting to not go back to school and keeping 355,000 Chicago kids out of our public schools in Chicago, the Chicago Teachers Union is causing massive pain and suffering to those 355,000 kids. That is not my opinion, that is science! Both the CDC and American Academy of Pediatrics strongly recommend that we get our kids back to school ASAP or they will suffer life long academic, social, and psychological damage. On top of that, studies have shown that 25% of kids under 20 have considered suicide because of the depression caused by being separated from their friends and social contact at schools. Even Democrat President Joe Biden and Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot have both said that we need to get our kids back to school ASAP. Yet 71% of the teachers in the Chicago Teachers Union voted against going back to school which will cause massive damage to our kids.
The CDC says that kids are almost immune from Covid 19 and if they catch it, they have a 99.997% chance of surviving! Their immune systems are so strong that kids are unlikely to catch it and spread it. But 71% of the teachers in the Chicago Teachers Union don’t care. Schools all around the world have remained open with very few cases of Covid 19 being spread from children to teachers but 71% of teachers in the union don’t care. Religious schools and private schools have remained open with very few cases of Covid 19 but the teachers in the Chicago Teachers Union don’t care. More than 3 times more kids died from the annual flu last year than Covid 19 and more kids have died from car accidents than Covid 19 but the Teachers Union doesn’t care. The US government said that workers at Walmart who make $15 an hour selling toilet paper are “Essential Workers” and they bravely go to work every day exposing themselves to hundreds of people who might have Covid 19 to do their jobs. But 71% of the teachers in the Chicago Teachers Union are unwilling to take a teeny tiny risk to do one of the most important jobs on Earth which is to teach our kids because they are afraid. Those teachers make a heck of a lot more than $15 an hour and they get better retirement plans than 85% of Americans yet they are afraid to go to work and do their jobs. They are getting full pay for doing virtual learning from their homes which has been proven to be incredibly ineffective which hurts our kids academically, socially, and psychologically because they are afraid! That is child abuse!
This cowardice and greed by the Teachers Unions which has put 50 plus million kids out of school in the US will go down as the worst example of child abuse in human history that will cause massive damage to an entire generation of Americans. Every parent that loves their children who have been kicked out of school must rise up and peacefully but aggressively demand that their schools open and let their kids go back to school. They must demand that every teacher that refuses to go back to school gets fired immediately. It is time to hold these teachers accountable for their abuse of our children. Any parent that does not peacefully rebel and demand that their kids go back to school are accomplices to this child abuse. How can any teacher or parent that doesn’t support getting our kids back to school have any self-respect? Teachers used to have high respect in our society and they deserved it. But the Teachers Unions have caused so much damage to the respect of teachers that it will take decades to get back that respect.
Get our kids back to school!!!!!
