EDWARDSVILLE – Disgust and frustration among elected officials as to FBI investigations into Illinois' policial leadership is rising to the surface.
On his Facebook page, state Senator Jason Plummer (R-Edwardsville) wrote late Thursday night that Illinois "is a culture of corruption," referring to a cartoon published by Illinois Policy Institute.
Plummer said, "Dozens of people need to go away, not one," referring to House Speaker Mike Madigan, who is fighting to retain his leadership in the state's Democrat Party and the state legislature.
He then wrote, "Laugh at the cartoon – it is funny – but what has happened to Illinois is not funny."
