If political smackdowns were a gymnastics routine, Nancy Mace just stuck the landing at the U.S. House Oversight Committee hearing. Perfect execution, flawless score. The South Carolina congresswoman absolutely obliterated the mayors of New York City, Chicago, Denver, and Boston – and she knew it.
How do we know? Because after delivering a public flogging these mayors won’t soon forget, she retweeted Libs of TikTok’s video of her performance and casually captioned it:
“I’d like to report a quadruple homicide.”
Brutal. Accurate. And judging by how these mayors performed under pressure, it was completely deserved.
The Mayors Showed Up Unprepared – Mace Took Them to School
These Democratic mayors probably walked into that hearing expecting to deliver their usual talking points about “compassion” and “inclusivity.” Instead, they got a reality check – live on camera, and with receipts.
Mace started off with an absolute softball:
“Do you acknowledge that breaking into the country is illegal?”
A simple “yes” would’ve sufficed, but judging by the awkward fumbling in response, even basic law-and-order concepts are just too complex for these city leaders.
Then Mace went for the jugular:
“Do you all hate Donald Trump more than you love your country?”
The silence was deafening. Because let’s be real – these mayors would rather let their cities spiral into crime-infested chaos than admit Trump, or literally any Republican, might have a point about border security.
Boston’s Michelle Wu: A Masterclass in Hypocrisy
Boston Mayor Michelle Wu might want to take a long vacation after this one. She’s spent years screeching about how ICE is a “threat” to public safety,” so Mace decided to hit her with an obvious question:
“Is ICE arresting child rapists and murderers a public safety risk?”

Wu, for once, actually got it right and said no.
Which is interesting, because it’s the exact opposite of what she’s been saying for years. If ICE is not a danger, then why has Wu been fearmongering about them non-stop? Oops! Looks like someone just admitted their entire platform is built on nonsense.
Chicago’s Brandon Johnson: The Art of Saying Nothing
Then there was Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, who somehow managed to make former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) look competent.
Mace asked him whether criminals in his sanctuary city should be held accountable – a painfully easy question. But instead of saying, “Yes, obviously,” Johnson delivered a meandering, word-salad response that said absolutely nothing.
No wonder his approval rating is tanking and sits at just six percent – the lowest in history. Turns out, people actually like when their leaders have the ability to form coherent thoughts.
And Then Came the Knockout: “You Have Blood on Your Hands.”
Mace wasn’t done. Just as these mayors were likely praying for the hearing to end, she dropped one final truth bomb:
“You have blood on your hands.”
Too harsh? Not really.
These mayors have spent years shielding criminals under the feel-good label of “sanctuary,” while their own citizens suffer the consequences. Crime is skyrocketing, resources are drying up, and neighborhoods are becoming unlivable. But hey, at least they get to feel progressive about it, right?
And Yet, Even After All That – Nothing Topped Her Tweet
Yes, watching Mace dismantle these mayors was truly a work of art. But somehow, it still didn’t hold a candle to her tweet.
“I’d like to report a quadruple homicide.”
Absolutely savage. Painfully accurate. And the best part? Not one of those mayors had a response.
