Even when it's federal, it's still about the states. As we continue to wait for the final results from this year's elections, few organizations are looking at what happened in state legislatures on Tuesday. The Illinois-based Heartland Institute is keeping a close eye on it and planning accordingly.
As reported in Politico, the Democratic Party did not flip any state houses, despite massive spending. That means members of the president's party will be in charge of redistricting and some aspects of the current (interminable) ballot count outcome.
