OSWEGO – Illinois' 14th CD was one of the state's most conservative Congressional districts until 2018, when the national Blue Wave swept liberal Congress member Laurie Underwood into office, ousting Republican incumbent Randy Hultgren. There's an effort to win the seat back into Republican hands – but only after a multiple-candidate GOP primary.
Thus far, at least five persons have announced their intentions to file petitions for the IL GOP 14th CD primary.
