NEW YORK – There are just too many unanswered questions, bizarre coincidences and uncomfortable connections for Americans to swallow the story that convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein killed himself in Manhattan's Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC), polls say.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that only 29% of American Adults believe Epstein actually committed suicide while in jail. Forty-two percent (42%) think Epstein was murdered to prevent him from testifying against powerful people with whom he associated. A sizable 29% are undecided.
Wednesday, another question popped up as webbers found that the union representing the correctional officers at New York's MCC endorsed Hillary Clinton in 2016. Documents reportedly show that Bill Clinton was acquainted with Epstein, and some say he visited Epstein's so-called "Orgy Island" on several occasions.
The American Federation of Government Employees wrote on its website:
The 2016 presidential election is fast approaching, and no one will be impacted more by our nation's decision than government employees. The next president will be our boss for four years and hold enormous sway over our jobs, our pay, and our retirement, and we must do everything we can to support the candidate who supports us.
AFGE needs to make sure that whoever occupies the White House values our work and our agencies' mission to serve the public. We need someone with the spine to stand strong against the anti-government ideologues that want to shut down the government and eliminate your jobs.
That's why AFGE is proud to endorse Hillary Clinton for President of the United States.
Not only did the AFGE endorse Clinton in 2016, the AFGE President J. David Cox met with Hillary Clinton during a campaign stop. Cox is to Clinton's right in the photo released with a presser:
The same day, J. David Cox tweeted:
The MCC is reporting that Epstein's jail mate was moved out of their cell hours before Epstein's body was discovered, and that there were no cameras monitoring the cell – despite Epstein's suicide attempt a few weeks ago – and that Epstein had not been checked on for several hours.
Attorney General William Barr said earlier this week the Department of Justice would be investigating the circumstances surrounding Epstein's death.
Other high notoriety prisoners have been held at the MCC over the past few years, including Gambino crime family Bosses John Gotti and Jackie D'Amico, drug kingpin Frank Lucas, Ponzi scheme fraudster Bernard Madoff, terrorists Omar Abdel Rahman and Ramzi Yousef, and weapons trafficker Viktor Bout.[6] Since January 2017, after being extradited to the United States, Mexican drug lord Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán was housed in the facility.
President Trump was acquainted with Epstein, but reportedly banned him from visiting Trump's Mara-Largo estate in Florida 15 years ago after Epstein's unacceptable behavior while visiting.
