MOKENA – The Illinois Family Action group – a sister to the conservative family group Illinois Family Institute – recently released their recommendations and endorsements for the upcoming June 28th party primaries.
In the gubernatorial race, they endorse Darren Bailey and Stephanie Trussell. They write:
Darren Bailey has received our hearty endorsement for the race of governor. Not once did he succumb to peer pressure, insults, or mockery, common tactics of the bipartisan combine, while serving in both the state house and senate. He has been a valiant voice for pro-life, pro-family issues. Bailey is a committed Christian who seeks to put Christ before and in everything he does. His faith is what makes him a conservative.
Bailey unabashedly believes in the sanctity of human life. He has steadily fought against the egregious, anti-life legislation in both chambers of the Illinois General Assembly, and IFA does not doubt that he will be the best advocate for pre-born human beings that the office of governor of Illinois has ever seen.
In the U.S. Senate race, they recommend Republican Kathy Salvi. They write: "We are delighted to endorse Kathy Salvi, a strong advocate for the sanctity of life, and a strong defender of religious liberty."
In the attorney general race, they endorse David Shestokas over downstate attorney Thomas DeVore and Richard Irvin slate team member Steve Kim.
David Shestokas gets our endorsement for Illinois Attorney General. This primary election is critical for the direction of pro-family issues in Illinois, and the attorney general is a key office to protecting families’ freedoms of choice in education, religion, and life. We support David Shestokas because he has a long career of articulated personal commitment to defending the laws of God.
After evaluating answers to questionnaires and interviewing each personally, the group encourages traditional family values and conservative principled, pro-life voters to consider the following when going to the polls between now and June 28th:
Governor and Lt. Governor of Illinois:
Darren Bailey and Stephanie Trussell
Attorney General of Illinois
David Shestokas
