CHICAGO – Illinois Review contributors Mark Weyermuller and Max Rice's story about Turning Point USA's Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens being blocked from speaking at DePaul University has drawn the attention of Breitbart News, Newsweek and the Chicago Tribune.
Instead, Kirk and Owens will be speaking at the JW Marriott near the DePaul campus on October 16, 2018. But DePaul's decision to ban the conservative speakers infuriated Owens, and she didn't hesitate to express her righteous indignation on Twitter.
Owens, TPUSA's communications director, featured the Illinois Review story on her popular Twitter feed saying, "For the first time ever, my right to speak as a black conservative is being DENIED at @DePaulU in Chicago by VP Rico Tyler. He has referred to my words as “violent language."

BLACK PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE TO BE DEMOCRATS is not “violent language”.
