WASHINGTON – Thousands of women marching in Washington D.C. heard "We're in Day 2 of the Trump Travesty," from filmmaker Michael Moore Saturday. "The majority of Americans did not want Donald J. Trump in the White House. We're representing them today."

Simultaneously, women protested throughout the nation in opposition to Trump's promises for conservative, prolife public policies and key cabinet nominees. UPDATE: The group in Chicago was so big they had to scrap plans to march to Federal Plaza, and instead, stayed in place.

Moore told the protesters to 1. Oppose Betsy DeVos for Education Secretary, 2. Join Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, NARAL and environment groups, 3. Form rapid response teams to react and initiate calls and actions when alerted.

Rockford prolife group leader Kevin Rilott said the Women's March reeks of hypocrisy. The walk, he said, in sync with the walk in DC, should be named the "Pro-Abortion Progressive Women's Walk."

"A partner organization, New Wave Feminists, was barred from joining the walk, because the latter group is pro-life, though left-leaning," Rilott said. "Now we learn that a group, 'And then there were none,' 'a ministry that helps abortion clinic workers leave the industry, has seen its partnership in the March rejected.'"

Speakers at the Women's March in D.C. included Gloria Steinem and others whose key purpose is to protect Planned Parenthood's federal funding.
