By Randy Rossi –

While our current insane and painfully high gas prices are seriously hurting most Americans, they may have a few positive effects. First they may finally wake-up Americans regarding the incredible cost of killing fossil fuels because of “Global Warming Hysteria”. Just a little more than a year ago, gas prices were dramatically lower than today and America was totally energy independent. Then the American people foolishly elected Democrat Joe Biden who immediately started killing that energy independence by shutting down the Keystone pipeline, killing fracking, and killed drilling oil on federal land. That drove oil & gas prices up and believe it or not, now some people on the East Coast are getting their gas from our enemy Russia! While that is not as bad as Germany killing its energy independence by closing all of its safe and effective nuclear energy and then making itself dependent on the enemy of freedom, Russia! To make things even worse, now Russia is on the edge of invading Ukraine so America may have to help provide Germany and other European countries oil and gas if there is war with Russia. If you think gas prices are high now, imagine if we have to send some of our oil and gas to Europe which would drive oil and gas prices through the roof!!!

But that pain we are suffering now is nothing like the pain we will suffer if we kill fossil fuel as the “Global Warming” extremists are demanding. There is no way on Earth we can convert to wind and solar power without bankrupting most Americans. First of all, “sometimes the wind don’t blow and the sun don’t shine”! Depending on wind and solar power is completely irrational. Second, most of the material used to make wind and solar power and storage batteries are currently owned and mined by China. Making ourselves dependent on China for our wind and solar power is as stupid as making ourselves dependent on Russia for our gas and oil like Germany did! So this “Global Warming” hysteria will drive gas and oil prices to the moon and nobody will be able to afford wind and solar power. Sound like a good plan to you?

Added to that, science proves that this “Global Warming Hysteria” is pure nonsense. The WSJ just published a scientific article “Greenland’s Melting Ice Is No Cause for Climate-Change Panic” proving that this hysteria that the oceans are rising so much it will flood the world is pure baloney. In that article, the author proved with science that since 1900 (122 years ago) the melting ice from Greenland caused the oceans to rise 0.01 of an inch each year, “about one-fifth the thickness of a dime”. Pretty scary right? Did everybody forget that when the last ice age melted roughly 10,000 years ago because of natural global warming, the oceans rose by roughly 400 feet? So compare that to the 0.01 of an inch. Just as a reminder, the earth has experienced at least 5 major ice ages that came and went over the last 4.5 billion years. All 5 came before humans existed and 4 out of 5 disappeared thanks to global warming before humans were around. So global cooling is coming again and the oceans will shrink as the next ice age arrives. When that happens, humans will dream of the good old “Global Warming” days!!

The bottom line is that energy independence based on natural gas and oil fossil fuel is the best, safest, most secure, and cheapest option for the world today.
