According to a new study by Johns Hopkins University released on February 2, 2022, the pandemic “lockdowns have had little to no public health effects,” and have “imposed enormous economic and social costs where they have been adopted.”
And what about the news media in getting out this extremely important story to the public?

“There has been a full-on media blackout on ABC, CBS, and NBC, about the anti-lockdown study."
“It wasn’t just the networks avoiding the study, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Associated Press, Reuters, USA Today, Axios, Politico, among other outlets, also turned a blind eye to the findings, according to search results.”
Appearing on Tucker Carlson’s show Wednesday, February 2, 2022, Johns Hopkins professor of surgery Dr. Martin Makary blasted the college, noting “Johns Hopkins itself did not even put out a press release about this study, and if you look at the media coverage, it’s one of the biggest stories in the world today, and yet certain media outlets have not even covered it…The professor dug down into the study and noted that it found that the number of lives saved by the lockdowns is infinitesimal compared to those lost through missed cancer diagnosis and treatment alone. “It was 124,000 excess deaths in year one. So, over two years, it was about a quarter million people who died,” Makary noted.
Researchers for Johns Hopkins study
The researchers for the study were Johns Hopkins University economics professor Steve Hanke, Lund University economics professor Lars Jonung, and special advisor at Copenhagen’s Center for Political Studies Jonas Herby.
They analyzed the effects of lockdown measures such as school shutdowns, business closures, and mask mandates on COVID-19 deaths.
“We find little to no evidence that mandated lockdowns in Europe and the United States had a noticeable effect on COVID-19 mortality rates,” the researchers wrote.
The researchers also examined shelter-in-place orders, finding that they reduced COVID-19 mortality by 2.9%.
Studies that looked at only shelter-in-place orders found they reduced COVID-19 mortality by 5.1%, but studies that looked at shelter-in-place orders along with other lockdown measures found that shelter-in-place orders actually increased COVID-19 mortality by 2.8%.
The researchers concluded that limiting gatherings may have actually increased COVID-19 mortalit
“[Shelter-in-place orders] may isolate an infected person at home with his/her family where he/she risks infecting family members with a higher viral load, causing more severe illness,” the researchers wrote.
“But often, lockdowns have limited peoples’ access to safe (outdoor) places such as beaches, parks, and zoos, or included outdoor mask mandates or strict outdoor gathering restrictions, pushing people to meet at less safe (indoor) places.”
The researchers also examined studies that focused on specific lockdown measures and found that the only intervention that reduced COVID-19 mortality was the closure of non-essential businesses, which reduced mortality by 10.6%, but this effect was likely driven by the closure of bars.
Researchers also pointed out other unintended consequences of lockdowns, such as rising unemployment, reduced schooling, an increase in domestic violence incidents, and surging drug overdoses.

Republicans display fury at report
Republicans are saying a controversial new report finding that coronavirus lock downs had 'little to no effects' on pandemic death tolls, proves that Dr. Anthony Fauci and his claim that pandemic restrictions saved 'millions' are not to be trusted.

He recalled when Fauci said that lockdowns had saved millions of lives.

Paul called for Fauci's removal, which he has done repeatedly.

Isn't it time for the U.S. to follow other countries?

Voices around the world rally for change
U.S. Citizens also marched in objection to the C-19 masks & shots on
Thousands of Americans, plus a dozen well respected medical physicians, marched voicing their objection to the forced C-19 masks & shots. As speakers took to the stage the crowd roared its approval, railing against the false narrative pushing the harmful injections.
Like in Canada with the truckers, "We the People" must continue to raise our voices until our legislators hear and act on our objections to wearing masks that don't work and Covid jabs which don't prevent fully vaxed individuals from becoming infected or reacting in a negative even life threatening way.
What about Governor Pritzker's dramatic turnaround?
Given Illinois’ dramatic turnaround from the Omicron surge, which saw new COVID-19 cases drop more than 50% in a single week, Gov. J.B. Pritzker said he was possibly considering loosening his indoor masking mandate — but stopped short of any firm commitment. We can only hope.
