WASHINGTON – Over the weekend, the audience at a Planned Parenthood Federation of America fundraiser was thrilled to hear Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton promise to protect Planned Parenthood and work to end the Hyde Amendment, which bans taxpayer funding of abortions.
"I will say consistently and proudly that Planned Parenthood should be funded, supported and appreciated not undermined, misrepresented and demonized," Clinton said.
In 2015, videos revealing Planned Parenthood officials bargaining baby body parts for medical research emerged, creating a public outcry against the clinics' practices.
