CHICAGO – (INN) Chicago Public Schools must cut $100 million from next year's budget, says CPS Board President Forrest Claypool. Such a suggestion is an "act of war," Chicago Teacher Union President Karen Lewis said in response.
Another idea would be to return to the state the power to take over CPS, Governor Rauner said this week, and "I guarantee you we can get something done." Chicago Democrats say that won't happen.
