WASHINGTON DC – One year after his fall from grace, a grand jury is expected to decide soon whether to indict former Illinois Congressman Aaron Schock.
The grand jury has been meeting in secret since last April. The protracted proceedings may be nearing completion, with an indictment coming as soon as this month, sources familiar with the case tell POLITICO. It’s unclear what charges are being weighed, but Schock faced a barrage of media reports about alleged improper spending of office and campaign funds before he exited the House.
