SPRINGFIELD – Illinois House Republicans tried to keep the Illinois House in session to continue working on a budget solution last Thursday, but House Democrats overruled the effort and adjourned until April 4th – a month long recess.
State Rep. Tom Demmer (R-Dixon) motioned to keep the process going. "If you vote yes, you're voting to keep working. If you vote no, you're voting to leave for more than a month and not come back until April…"
