CHICAGO – Beautiful spring weather this weekend, and to Chicagoans, that means gangland shootings.
It's April 25th, and thus far this month 28 persons were shot and killed, 229 shot and wounded. Last week alone, six were shot and killed, 90 – yes – 90 were shot and wounded. In one week.
That brings the totals to 160 shot and killed, 914 shot and wounded since the first of 2016.
Yet the biggest thing on Mayor Rahm Emanuel's mind appears to be getting the Lucas "Star Wars" Museum downtown.
