LOMBARD – State Rep. Peter Breen (R-Lombard) and his wife Margie announced this week the arrival of their new adopted baby boy, Matthew Elijah.
Thankfully, Rep. Breen and attorney colleagues persuaded a Texas judge to drop charges on pro-life videographer David Daleiden in June, and is now in between intense budget votes on the Illinois House floor. While he's delighted with the new joy, Breen's a little taken aback with sleep deprivation that started when little Matthew arrived.
"We are overjoyed for our new adopted son, Matthew Elijah! He came into the world on August 9th at 6 lbs, 10 oz, 19", and he's growing fast," Breen posted on his Facebook page. "Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers for us as we've traveled on the long journey to becoming parents!"
The Breens started the adoption process several years ago, after undergoing fertility treatments.
"We are over the moon in love with him! Thank you to all who have been praying for us. God is good!" wife Margie said on her Facebook page.
The Breens told Daily Herald's Kerry Lester they plan to strap him in and take him to the Capitol with them once the legislative session begins again in November.
