NEW YORK – The FBI is asking for assistance in locating New Jersey resident Ahmad Khan Rhami in connection with a bombing in which 29 persons were injured in New York over the weekend.
According to a local ABC affiliate, Rahami was shot several times before being taken into custody and is now en route to hospital. Two police officers were hurt in the shootout, but neither sustained life-threatening injuries.
Rahami was allegedly discovered sleeping in the walkway of a bar in Linden, and the owner called police. When police arrived, a shootout ensued.
