WASHINGTON – Family Research Council Action's voter guide for Congressional candidates reveals that social conservatives in Illinois aren't that enthralled with several Republican congressional incumbents from Illinois – including Republicans Peter Roskam (IL-06), Robert Dold (IL-10), Adam Kinzinger (IL-16), Rodney Davis (IL-13) and John Shimkus (IL-15).
Three Illinois Congressional members of the U.S. House that FRC Action does recommend include Mike Bost (IL-12), Randy Hultgren (IL-14) and Darin LaHood (IL-18).
And there are three Republican candidates FRC is recommending over their district's incumbents: Patrick Harlan, rated "conservative" over 17th CD's Cheri Bustos' "very liberal"; "conservative" Tonia Khouri over "very liberal" 11th CD's Bill Foster.
Roskam, Kinzinger, Davis and Shimkus are all listed as either "somewhat conservative" or "moderate." Dold is listed as "very liberal."
Neither Tammy Duckworth nor Mark Kirk answered the national family group's surveys, but the group assessed their voting records and determined each of them to be "very liberal."
