SPRINGFIELD – Moms promise to "take over" Springfield Thursday, demanding state lawmakers pass laws that will strengthen even more gun control in Illinois, one of the most gun-regulated states in the nation.
One of the speakers expected at Thursday's rally at the Capitol is Lucy McBath, mother of a child slain by gunfire.
"I want the NRA to hear loud and clear: Your dangerous agenda is not welcome here," McBath said at another recent rally.
