WASHINGTON – The Trump Campaign released an ad this week celebrating what they consider their accomplishments in the administration's first 100 days in office, and CNN refused to air the ad.
“CNN requested that the advertiser remove the false graphic that the mainstream media is ‘fake news,’” the cable channel said in a statement. “The mainstream media is not fake news, and therefore the ad is false and per policy will be accepted only if that graphic is deleted.”
In response to what the campaign called an "act of censoring," Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., Executive Director Michael S. Glassner reported an "enormous online response."
"The American people have fought back against CNN’s censorship," Glassner said. "We’ve received a tremendous response over the last 24 hours from people across the country viewing our ad online. We’ve broken through a media barricade and helped spread President Trump’s message."
