SPRINGFIELD – Groups that depend upon tax dollars to pay their employees and provide their executives' salaries are organizing a phone in to the State Capitol next Tuesday.
"Join the R[espect] B[udget] C[oalition] for a statewide call-day on Tues, June 27th to demand an #ILBudgetNow with new, permanent revenue," a Tweet says.
Note the term, "new, permanent revenue" – in other words, another income tax hike that will not be temporary like the last one was. Of course, the 300+ taxpayer-funded groups don't want Illinois taxpayers to get a break.
This is how the Left works… TOGETHER. The Right in Illinois seems to be competing among each other for the sparse funders' graces to work together like the Left does. It's too bad that the RIGHT in Illinois does get it – NO ONE wins when they don't work TOGETHER.
Maybe someone could pass the word along to the Right in Illinois how teamwork benefits everyone. In the meantime, maybe those that don't want an income tax hike out of this budget can do some calling of their own?
