CAMPTON HILLS — U.S. Representative Randy Hultgren (IL-14) is proud to announce that a record number of students from the 14th Congressional District, 13 cadets in all, have been selected to attend the United States military service academies beginning July 1.
The congressman hosted the selected students at a formal reception at the Campton Hills District Office on Saturday. Factors such as academic achievements, strong character, leadership skills, physical aptitude and exceptional motivation are taken into consideration for service academy selection.
“These students embody the best of the 14th District and will represent our communities well as they begin their careers at these distinguished institutions,” said Rep. Hultgren. “Their dedication to service is commendable, and I anticipate this record-setting class of cadets will go far in their studies and leadership.”
