DOWNERS GROVE—The Republican 41st Senate District Appointment Committee announced Monday it will hold interviews of applicants wishing to serve the remainder of State Senator Christine Radogno’s term.
Prospective candidates are encouraged to submit resumes to [email protected] by 7 p.m. on Friday, July 14th. The committee will consider all applications and offer in-person interviews to the most qualified. Interviews are scheduled for Saturday, July 22nd and are closed to the public.
“Chris’ replacement will have very big shoes to fill,” said DuPage County GOP Chairman Brian Krajewski. “We hope that whoever we pick will follow in her footsteps and be a passionate public servant. Especially after the recent 32% tax hike, we need someone who will strongly advocate for fiscal responsibility and structural reforms.”
All those who apply must be residents of the 41st Senate District and meet the other qualifications as prescribed by the Constitution of the State of Illinois.
The appointment committee consists of the Republican leaders in the 41st Senate District: DuPage GOP Chairman Krajewski, Will County GOP Chairwoman Kathy Havel, Lyons Township GOP Chairwoman Christine Cook, and Lemont Township GOP Chairman Howie Ludwig. A weighted vote of these four members will select the appointee.
