ELMHURST – Illinois conservatives are plentiful, but they're just not well-organized, and the Leftist media so rarely includes conservative perspectives that many are misled to believe conservatives are extinct in the Land of Lincoln.
But conservatives are really not that rare in Illinois, they just need to know who each other are and meet up to encourage one another, says Carol Davis – the co-founder of West Suburban Patriots. That's why she and Janet Shaw started the ball rolling on a long overdue gathering of Illinois conservatives.
The event, "Strategy 2017: From Outrage to Action," will be held August 18 and 19th at the Diplomat West Banquet Hall in Elmhurst, IL.
The forum starts Friday afternoon with American Majority doing Candidate/Campaign Team Training. Matt Batzel, the trainer American Majority is providing, led the movement in Wisconsin when Scott Walker was under attack during the recall effort.
The training will be followed Friday evening by a Meet & Greet. Saturday morning, Catherine Engelbrecht from True the Vote will speak, with several election integrity sessions to follow.
Saturday's luncheon speaker will be former Kansas 1st District U.S. Congressman Dr. Tim Huelskamp, now the new President of The Heartland Institute. The afternoon sessions will be social media training and a session entitled “Lightning Round: SOLUTIONS” will feature short, fast-paced presentations from organizations with REAL solutions conservatives to learn and support.
Dinner will be sponsored by FreedomWorks, with keynote speaker C.L. Bryant. He is a reverend and a black conservative activist with the TEA Party since the beginning.
