LOMBARD – Former GOP state representative Sandra Pihos was arrested for retail theft on September 26, a local newspaper says. She's out on a $1500 bond, awaiting a court hearing on November 5th.
Another police news blotter reports that at the same time, a Von Maur store employee claims a "white female" picked up items from a store display and then later tried to return them for refund.
The Daily Herald's report says the alleged stolen three items totaled $571.
Pihos served in the Illinois House from 2003 to 2015, when she was succeeded by State Rep. Peter Breen (R-Lombard). Breen challenged her in the 2014 GOP primary, and went on to win the seat in the 2014 General Election.
