A College Republicans meeting at the University of Illinois was disrupted last Thursday by a woman who is allegedly a university employee.
A woman identified by CR members as Angela King was evidently upset that the group was being addressed by members of an alumni group that supports the controversial Chief Illiniwek mascot that was retired in 2007.
She proceeded to tear up literature belonging to the club, then seated herself in the presenter's chair and refused to leave until campus police officers showed up and escorted her away.
