CHICAGO— The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce issued the following statement in response to Governor Rauner’s budget address:
“The Chamber agrees a reasonable and balanced budget is needed to provide economic stability for businesses throughout the state and Chicagoland, especially at a time when Chicago is competing for the new headquarters of companies such as Amazon, Google, and Apple. Chicagoland business owners are fully aware of the state’s economic hurdles as well as the importance of funding the needs of our state government, and the Chamber stands ready to work with Governor Rauner and legislative leaders in order to pass common-sense business reforms that stimulate the economy while also providing for workplace training and high paying jobs,” said Jack Lavin, president & CEO, Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce.
