CHICAGO – Upstream Ideas released a video Friday lambasting GOP incumbent State Rep. Norine Hammond – and her colleagues – by tying them all to a sexual harassment scandal that rocked the Capitol in 2017.
"It was Norine Hammond who left the Legislative Inspector General's office vacant for three years while dozens of complaints – including mine – went un-investigated," Denise Rotheimer says in the video.
Rotheimer says Hammond's challenger has "given her more of voice" than Hammond ever has.
The Upstreams Ideas' video does not note that Hammond is in the House minority, with little ability to push forward anything Democrat House Speaker Mike Madigan doesn't want moved.
It was State Rep. Norine Hammond and her colleagues who failed me and every other women exploited by predatory and unprofessional conduct by Illinois legislators. #twill pic.twitter.com/GdICsaQNIg
