Chicago Republicans were out in force Sunday marching up Northwest Highway in Chicago for Saint Patrick’s Day. The Northwest Side GOP Club had several vehicles plastered with campaign signs with over 70 people walking alongside, having a fun time time.
Candidates for Illinois House seats led the crowd, including Marilyn Smolenski, Ammie Terrell-Kessem, Amanda Smith-Biela, along with Jim Dodge running for Illinois Treasurer.
GOP gubernatorial primary candidate Jeanne Ives was at Chicago's Southwest Irish Parade, which ran at the same time 25 miles away. Ives was well represented with her signs and widespread support on the Northwest Side. Some people are expecting an extremely close race Tuesday in the Republican primary between Bruce Rauner and Jeanne Ives.
President Donald Trump was also well represented, as many were wearing “Make America Great Again” hats.
Just eight days till Election Day as early voting continues now. Election day is Tuesday, March 20, 2018. More information on the Chicago Northwest Side GOP Club on Facebook and at their website:
