Winners of Wednesday night's IL GOP county convention races for the party's State Central Committee are coming in, and incumbents overall did very well despite attempts to ousts. Precinct committeemen throughout the state picked county chairmen and who would represent them on the SCC.
Despite efforts of state lawmakers to oust 16th CD's John Glasson because he supported challengers in the district's congressional and gubernatorial primaries, Glasson won his seat on the committee once more over Rauner-backed State Rep. Tom Demmer.
In the 17th CD, incumbent member Jan Russ Weber won over challenger Patrick Harlan.
