Within a 12 hour time frame this week, Apple, YouTube, Spotify and Facebook censored controversial website Infowars. Alex Jones' commentaries were disagreeable for the most part, but being a social conservative news site that works hard to provide our conservative audience with news that would interest them, we understand what it is like to provide information in a Leftist state. It's not easy.
Illinois Review is in 100% agreement with Michael Tracey's Tweet above. We can't help but think of German Lutheran Pastor Martin Niemoller's powerful exhortation to not remain silent when injustice in perpetrated on those with which we don't see eye-to-eye:
First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
It is also incumbent upon freedom-loving voters in Illinois' 5th CD to know their Congressman Mike Quigley pressured a Twitter exec about a Tweet of which Quigley did not approve, as noted in the video "The Purge" below:
