Canadian actor Ryan Gosling, who portrays Neil Armstrong in First Man, is defending the film's omission of planting the American flag on the moon when Apollo 11 landed there in July 1969.
Gosling claims to speak for the late American astronaut and says that Armstrong's mission was a "human accomplishment" and not that of any one nation. Baloney.
Who is Gosling to presume to speak for Armstrong or to change or alter a central image of American and world history?
