The pairing of Apocalypse events with Media Bias might sound like an odd association, but as you will learn from what unfolds, both can foment unnecessary concern, and even anxiety, through the assimilation of false information to the pubic geared to advance the interests of the propagators. Furthermore, both Apocalypse events and Media Bias are nothing new in the course of human history. It is also true that many of the evils that beset us can be traced to stupid and unhinged Leftists with too much time on their hands.
There are individuals who seriously believe a planet called Nibiru is going to smash into us at any time.
Many religious groups engage in end times prophecies. The planet’s major religions each have their own beliefs about the end of the world, the triumph of good over evil and Judgment Day. In Christianity, the Book of Revelation, the last chapter of the Bible’s New Testament, mentions Armageddon, the final battle on Earth between the forces of God and Satan.
Isis believes it is destined to fight a battle in the Syrian town of Dabiq which was prophesied by Muhammad, who is quoted in a hadith as saying ‘The Last Hour’ will come after a showdown between the armies of Islam and ‘Rome’, which is taken to mean Christianity.
Older religious ideas involved the supernatural. In ancient times, religion was indistinguishable from what is known as 'mythology' in the present day and consisted of regular rituals based on a belief in higher supernatural entities who created and continued to maintain the world and surrounding cosmos.
People often lacking a religious prospective have environmental apocalyptic ideas such as: “Mother Earth”, as a planet, is angry at our destructive ways and will punish us for causing great harm to nature. Gaia worship is at the very heart of today's environmental policy under the hypothesis of saving "Mother Earth". This religious movement with cult-like qualities was promoted by All Gore in his book Earth in the Balance. The United Nations has been extremely successful in infusing the "Green Religion" into an international governmental body that has an increasing affect and control over all of our lives.
And what about Democrats like Rep. AOC who are promoting anti-natalism, that having babies is wrong because they believe the world is a horrible place and is going to be destroyed in the future by climate change and this fate is unavoidable.
As with past doomsday scenarios, the apparent question is when will they happen? Some psychologists believe our obsession with the apocalypse is detrimental because when dreaming up exciting doomsday scenarios we fail to focus on the real threats facing humanity and focus on low-probability risks or the wrong kind of existential threats.
It is likely false apocalypse warnings will continue, for they seem to reflect a feature of human society to worry about things that might happen sometime in the future, as if the future can be predicted with any degree of accuracy.
Various individuals have predicted that the world will end in 2020, 2021 and 2026, but should we really fear that the prophets will be right? What about 2040? An apocalyptic computer model processed by one of the world’s largest computers in 1973 has predicted the end of civilization by 2040. The prediction came from a program nicknamed World One, which was developed by a team of MIT researchers and processed by Australia’s largest computer.
What about the non-apocalypse of the December 21, 2012, which was supposed to be the end of a 5,126-year-long Mayan cycle but turned out to just be an ordinary Friday here on Planet Earth. Remember also the fear generated when the calendar year turned to 2000, known as the Year 2000 problem, also known as the Y2K problem, theMillennium bug, the Y2K bug, the Y2K glitch, or Y2K. Companies and organizations worldwide checked, fixed, and upgraded their computer systems to address the anticipated problem. As a result, very few computer failures were reported when the clocks rolled over into 2000
Despite these no-shows, there will be more future doomsday predictions just around the corner, as there have always been, which means we’ll probably never see the end times of apocalypse anxiety. For they reflect a feature of human society to worry about things that might happen sometime in the future, as if the future can be predicted with any degree of accuracy.
Media Bias as nothing new
There are many who believe a left-wing biased media is a rather recent phenomenon, but a large segment of our media has always been corrupt. The big difference is that the opposition was also well-represented in the past
Burt Prelutsky addressed media bias in a recent daily commentary titled MEDIA BIAS ISN’T ANYTHING NEW.
Burt Prelutsky , a screenwriter, newspaper columnist and author of 8 books, was born in Chicago, IL, moving as a child with his family to CA. Burt is recognized for work onM*A*S*H (1972), Hobson's Choice (1983) and Diagnosis Murder (1993). Currently Mr. Prelutsky writes a daily witty political commentary from his home, available only through subscription at [email protected].
What follows was shared with Prelutsky’s permission:
"Today, whether we’re speaking about newspapers, magazines, Internet platforms or TV, the Left holds a virtual monopoly. Ever since Communism came of age in the Soviet Union, supplicants around the world have not only worked to subvert and overthrow non-Communist nations, but the media has been a willing accomplice, eager to denigrate those unwilling to be enslaved to a belief system every bit as godless and brutal as Nazism.
A century ago, when Communists and anarchists were blowing up buildings and people, the media puppets were quick to dismiss it as a “Red Scare” and accuse those like Attorney General Mitchell Palmer who were trying to deport or imprison foreign agitators of being fascists.
The media was also complicit in spreading the lie that Niccolo Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti, who had robbed and murdered two men, one of whom was the paymaster of a shoe factory in Braintree, Massachusetts, had only been arrested and sentenced to death because they were Italians.
The Communists had their first martyrs and raised a lot of money acélèbret of recruits from turning Sacco and Vanzetti into a world-wide cause célèbre.
But the two killers were merely the precursors of other villains who came along during the Cold War. Among them was Alger Hiss, the fair-haired boy of FDR’s State Department, who was proven to be a spy for the Soviet Union; and Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, who were instrumental in providing Joseph Stalin with the secrets to the Atom Bomb.
It was more difficult for the Communists to drum up support for Hiss, who looked and spoke like a patrician. But the Rosenberg’s were made to order. They were middle-class New York Jews, and so their fellow Party members, in and out of the media, were able to once again blame their arrest on bigotry and the “Red Scare” fomenting unreasonable fear among the American people.
But the Left did an even better when it came to the Hollywood 10 and their fellow travelers, casting these supporters of the Kremlin who actually tithed 10% of their sizable studio salaries to their Soviet masters (and only supported our entry into WWII after Hitler double-crossed Stalin and invaded the Soviet Union) as American patriots and political martyrs.
To this day, most of those who work in Hollywood believe that the Communists who were blacklisted as a result of the moral clauses in their standard studio contracts were innocent of wrong doing.
In fact, as these men and women have died off over the years, their obituaries in the Writer’s Guild monthly and the L.A. Times gushed with praise for their principles and courage. They read like what I imagine the obituaries in Pravda must have read like when those who had helped defend Stalingrad against the Nazi scourge passed away.
In a way, it’s rather funny how predictably they continue to defend those who colluded with a hostile power 70 years ago and how quick they were to attack Trump for colluding with that same power, even though in his case it was a false allegation.
The Communist game plan of professing their innocence and insisting that those who confront them are ignorant bigots hasn’t changed. The only thing that ever changes are the names of those sounding the alarm against them and their tactics. They have included Mitchell Palmer, Joe McCarthy, Judge Irving Kaufman, Robert Welch and Whitaker Chambers."
President Trump as new target
The Left hasn't let up on President Trump ever since he got on the escalator and announced he was volunteering to be the antidote to Barack Obama. Currently Trump is being attacked on several fronts, including his trade wars with both China and Mexico.
A similar Communist game plan, as described by Burt Prelutsky, is apparently being employed against President Trump through smears and false allegations by today's progressive Left to destroy Trump, abetted by a media that hasn't shed any of its leftist bias.
Unfortunately, most Americans don't realize that the Communist Party USA is 100 years old this year and has a stronghold of power within what is now the Democrat Socialist Party. Communists members typically express loyalty to a foreign power with actions that seek to overthrow government. Does this sound familiar to you?
AOC was elected to Congress as a member of the Communist Party of America. Bernie Sanders is a committed Marxist, and the current crop of Democrat candidates for president are competing to see how much free stuff they can give away if snagging the presidency.
Although Apocalypse events and Fake News both share the distinction of having been around for a long time, further transmitting false news and even making up information to a gullible public as "two birds of the same feather," fake news is by far the more dangerous of the two. For Apocalypse events are harmless in the long run, but fake news, in tandem with the Democrat-Socialist Party, is operating to take down President Donald Trump as our duly elected president and to impose a Socialist ideology on this nation.
