SAN FRANCISCO – Attorney Tom Brejcha, a senior member of the Thomas More Society's legal team defending David Daleiden in a hearing being held in San Francisco, reports on their progress in a video released over the weekend.
Daleiden is facing criminal charges, accusing him of secretly video recording private conversations with persons in the abortion industry discussing the sale of baby body parts. Daleiden then made portions of those conversations public last year, shaking the foundations of the abortion industry.
Brejcha says in the video below that one of those witnesses admitted in court that the conversations should not be protected as "confidential" because they were held in a public setting, with other restaurant patrons nearby. If that testimony convinces the judge, it would help Thomas More Society's legal team's case in defense of Daleiden. If found guilty of a criminal act, Daleiden could face jail time.
The case tests the First Amendment, which is Thomas More Society's expertise.
