SPRINGFIELD – When State Senator Paul Schimpf decided not to run for a second term in 2020, it started a political movement that is resulting in a five-way GOP primary for the 115th State House seat.
Monday morning, five Republicans filed to fill the 115th House seat State Rep. Terri Bryant will be vacating to be elected to Senator Schimpf's soon-to-be empty seat.
Bryant succeeded GOP Congressman Mike Bost (IL-12) in his Illinois House seat when he was first elected to the U.S. Congress in 2014.
