DC – Last year, as the 46th March for Life was winding down, students from Kentucky's Covington High School were waiting for their bus to come and pick them up after joining thousands of other Life supporters.
As young Nicholas Sandmann was waiting, Nathan Philips, a frequent protester with an native American group, came up to him and began beating a drum and chanting in Sandman's face.
Sandmann, wearing a MAGA hat, stood respectfully as the protester continued. A video of the encounter swept the internet as media personalities mocked Sandman and his high school friends – tying the fact that they were pro-life and Trump supporters to a perceived smirk on Sandmann's face.
The video clip was played millions of times – and media sources used their power to create havoc in young Sandmann's life.
Since that time, Sandmann has sued major media sources such as CNN and Washington Post. They are also taking on major media personalities.
Earlier this month, CNN announced they had come to a settlement in Sandmann's $250M lawsuit. The amount of the settlement was not disclosed. A judge re-opened Sandmann's suit of the Washington Post at the same time.
But the question on the 47th March for Life was this – did Covington High School and Nicholas Sandmann return to DC for this year's March?
