January in Chicagoland can be gloomy. Continuous days of gun metal gray skies can take toll on even the happiest person. Even I had a tiny case of the blahs.
Trying to unplug for a bit, I decided to stay inside until CPAC 2020. That’s the exciting Conservative Political Action Conference, an annual meeting of the top conservative activists and leaders in the country, held every February in Washington D.C.
On Monday this week, I got an email that I was approved for a media pass for President Trump’s Milwaukee Rally. I was instantly cured from my ailments. I left early Tuesday with the plan to enter the venue at 2:00 PM at a special media entrance five hours before the president was scheduled to speak.
Group on right were first in line – having stayed overnight
It’s hard to explain to people who see the Trump voters as a group of hateful racists, what’s it’s like to be in an arena with thousands of Trump lovin’ patriots. Everyone is smiling and generally in a great mood. They are decked out from head to toe with red, white and blue and the Trump swag is on fleek. (Have a youngster interpret that last sentence.)
A lady complimented my rhinestone TRUMP pin which led to a 15 minute conversation. I loved her Trump pin, too. She ordered it from Diamond and Silk. She was a white woman from the area, probably a Packers fan but we connected talking about our thriving economy and what Trump is doing for the country. We hugged at the end of our visit. I hugged many new friends by the end of the night.
According the Wikipedia, the Panther arena seats 12,700 and as seen here it looks like no empty seats. Add in 1000 standing on the floor, there is close to 14,000 inside. Across the street another few thousand watched on a Jumbotron TV after the room reached capacity.
I wish Trump haters would join me to see for themselves what Trump voters are really like. God-fearing, hard-working folks that want everyone to realize the American Dream. The people, the music and the energy are phenomenal.
Walking down the street in downtown Milwaukee and a group of red hat wearing teens shouted Trump 2020 to me. I locked eyes with one kid who was smiling with enthusiasm.
I approached black Trumpers joking about what it means to be one of us. My last one was a young black woman with the cutest Trump clutch purse. She’s a dental hygienist who is blogging, writing and wants to get into politics. She inspired me.
Oh, by the way, Vice President Michael R. Pence is the one to watch. He appeared as a surprise guest to speak before the president spoke. He’s laying back in the cut getting ready for 2024. The Democrats hate Trump because he’s an outsider. They quadruple-hate Pence because he’s the real thing.
He talks the talk and walks the walk. He loves Jesus, his wife, his family and the United States of America. Right now, the Left is in some dark room plotting how to take out a man of good character, principles and traditional values. Be ready for fight!
This morning The Stephanie Miller Show called the Trump rally "a Klan jamboree."
Three hours after the doors open I noticed there were tons of empty seats in the Panther stadium.
"Oh no," I thought,"the Trump-hating mainstream media will eat that up."
Then I took a stroll over to the entrance people were still being screened. No worries, Trump delivered.
Every seat was filled and there were at least 1000 standing around his podium. Outside a policewoman told me over 2000 were watching outside on the Jumbotron. Not a "Klan meeting," but a huge display that Trump supporters are "woke" and aware of what’s at stake in November.
PS – 12,000+ Trump fans and many were carrying signs. As we walked to the parking lot after the rally, the only debris on the streets were signs from the small group of protesters.
Not. One. Trump sign.
This week the impeachment saga continues in D.C. yet the economy is booming and employment is at record levels.
There are just 293 days till the election on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
