In the Chicago area, we are constantly being told about increased cases of Covid 19. Today, I listened to the CVS Minute Clinic outgoing message which says test results may take five days. Another source indicated it is now taking eight days to get results.
What happened to that 15 minute test we heard about ten weeks ago? If this is a huge health emergency, why does it take so long to get test results? If you need treatment or deciding on a quarantine plan, it seems like you need results immediately.
One source blamed the labs because of huge increased testing. They also indicated depending on the insurance it can vary in days on how to get results. On a good note, Illinois seems to opening up. There are less deaths and less hospitalizations, despite much more testing.
Just more questions and fewer answers.
