LAKE COUNTY – Deep blue Illinois' political pendulum could swing away from its decades-long Democrat Party grip, says Illinois' GOP US Senate candidate Mark Curran.
That's despite the Republican National Committee telling Curran (far right in photo) he won't be getting much help from the party's top levels.
"The Democrat strategy of hiding until the online censors and left wing media get them elected is working. They don't debate, they don't talk to voters, they just trust the machine to hand them power again, so they can continue to self-enrich, while America burns," Curran told supporters in an email over the weekend.
"That means the folks at the RNC are busy playing defense," his campaign wrote. "They aren't paying much attention to my Senate race – but that's not me!"
"We can win this," Curran says.
He points to five reasons why Illinois voters could reject the Democrat US Senate incumbent Dick Durbin in 2020:
