MT GREENWOOD – Sunday, suburban Chicago Trump supporters heard former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich refer to Illinois Democrat leadership as "chickensh##" and to Democrat US Senator Dick Durbin as a "fence straddler" whose "ba### must hurt" due to that fence straddling.
"My Democratic has run away from the police, they've run away from the firefighters, because their chickensh## powers are afraid to stand up for the people who keep us safe," Blagojevich shouted to hundreds on onlookers.
When one shouted "What about Dick Durbin?" Blagojevich shouted back, "What about Dick Durbin? What about that fence straddler? Dick Durbin straddles the fence so much his ba### must hurt."
"I ain't runnin' for nothin', he said, smiling. "I can talk like this, right?"
Blagojevich, whose federal prison sentence President Trump commuted earlier this year, has voiced his support for the president for several months – and even has endorsed Republican state Senate candidate Tom McCallagh in the 40th Senate District.
The rally was held behind the 19th Chicago Ward's Firewater Saloon on 111 Street in Chicago, and was hosted by Make Mt. Greenwood Great Again, Back the Blue and Open Illinois groups. A majority of the 19th Ward residents are Chicago police and firefighters.
Other speakers included US Senate GOP candidate Mark Curran, 3rd CD GOP candidate Mike Fricilone and several others – including representatives of Black Conservative groups.
