Economist and Trump advisor Stephen Moore called for the impeachment of Governor JB Pritzker in response to Pritzker's call to impeach President Trump.
We can’t and won’t defend President Trump’s behavior over the last weeks, and we are appalled by the assault by rioters at the Capitol. But we can’t help noting that Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has endorsed the impeachment of President Trump after the violence and rioting in U.S. Capitol on Wednesday.
“I don’t make a statement like this lightly: Two weeks is too long for Donald Trump to remain in office, where he can continue to incite more untold violence," Pritzker said in a statement.
Wait. This from J.B. Pritzker who did NOTHING to stop the weeks of violence, rioting, looting, and arson in Chicago this summer that destroyed businesses, property, and homes – mostly in minority neighborhoods. This from a governor who has bankrupted thousands of his state’s own businesses with lockdown orders? This from a governor who can’t balance his budget, and has seen a larger population loss in the last two years of any state in America?
If two weeks more of Trump “is too long,” then Illinois residents might want to ask if they can tolerate two more years Pritzker’s destruction of the once-great Land of Lincoln.
