By Randy Rossi -

We now have massive proof that the incredibly destructive Covid-19 lockdowns imposed on Americans primarily by Democrat governors which has caused massive pain and suffering for tens of millions of American adults and 55 million children do not reduce the spread of Covid-19 or reduce the number of deaths from Covid-19.

Think about that for a minute. Since our governors (mostly Democrats) started imposing complete lockdowns on schools, “nonessential businesses” including tens of thousands of restaurants and bars, and churches in March; over 73 million Americans have applied for unemployment benefits and 55 million children have been kicked out of schools. They did these shutdowns without having scientific proof that these shutdowns would reduce Covid-19 deaths and/or reduce the spread of Covid-19.

This has not only caused massive pain for 128 million Americans, it has actually killed thousands of Americans through massive increases in suicides because of depression, drug overdoses, alcohol abuse, domestic violence, etc. all caused by those shutdowns that cost people their jobs and forced them to isolate themselves from humanity. A scientific report showed that 25% of young people aged below 21 considered suicide because of these shutdowns!

There have now been multiple scientific studies that have proven that these Covid-19 shutdowns do not reduce the spread of Covid-19 or deaths from Covid-19.

The latest scientific study was released by Stanford University on January 5, 2021 and it compared the death rates and spread of Covid-19 in nations that did shutdown and those that did not. It compared that data from the USA, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, and Spain which did have harsh shutdowns with Sweden and South Korea which did not have strict shutdowns. The bottom line was that there was not a measurable difference in the Covid-19 infection rates or deaths.

Here is what is incredibly frustrating for me, anybody who has been watching the daily Covid-19 death rates in Sweden which did not shutdown and Michigan which did harshly shut down has known this for at least 7 months: They both have a population of 10 million and the daily data is available from Statista. As of today, Sweden has had 10,323 Covid-19 deaths and Michigan has had 14,539 deaths. Thus Michigan has had 4,216 more deaths than Sweden or 41% more deaths. So not only does Michigan have 41% more deaths than Sweden, they have put millions of people out of work and millions of kids out of school causing massive pain and suffering. Sweden did not shut down and has significantly less deaths and their businesses are open and their people are at work and getting paychecks! Does that make sense to you? Why doesn’t every American know that?

In addition to this new Stanford study, The Lancet, a famous international medical journal released a study of 50 countries which also showed that shutdowns did not impact the number of cases or deaths from Covid-19. Tel Aviv University released a study in October of 2020 that proved that shutdowns don’t save lives. The data clearly shows that these Covid-19 shutdowns that cause massive pain and suffering around the world are not only ineffective, they should be illegal. The people in these countries should be outraged.

These Covid-19 shutdowns may be the worst abuse of government power in human history. These massive and incredibly destructive shutdowns were done without science, without public approval, and without legal process. And the pain this has caused is almost beyond belief. Both the CDC and The American Academy of Pediatrics released scientific data that proved that kicking kids out of school will cause massive life-long academic, social, and psychological damage to all those  55 million U.S. kids that have been kicked out of school. This is clearly the worst abuse of children in human history! Especially when you consider the CDC itself says that the survival rate for kids 19 and under who catch Covid-19 is 99.997%! More kids have died from the flu, car accidents, and drowning at the beach than from Covid-19. Yet our politicians and the teachers unions have kicked them out of school!

The question is, how could the American people and the people of all countries which have shutdown their schools and economies just quietly let this happen without demanding answers and proof? As I said, 73 million Americans have applied for unemployment help since March of 2020 because of the Covid-19 shutdowns, tens of thousands of American businesses have gone out of business  crushing millions of people, and 55 million kids kicked out of school have suffered enormously for no good reason. Where is the outrage? People in Florida which is run by a Republican governor who did not shut down his state are doing far better than the people in New York and California which are run by Democrat governors which have totally shut down. Why is this not reported every day in the “Fake News” so voters can make informed decisions?

Sadly, hysterical and ignorant fear has been allowed to rule. The CDC has publicly reported the Covid-19 survival rates which should have informed every American not to let our government or teachers unions to overreact or cause needless massive pain to 128 million Americans. Take a look at these and ask yourself, is this worth shutting down our economy and schools?

Covid-19 survival rate by age group- CDC

  • 0-19: 99.997%
  • 20-49: 99.98%
  • 50-69: 99.5%
  • 70+: 94.5%

Doesn’t logic say that crushing the lives of healthy people under 70 by closing businesses, schools, and our economy is crazy? Even crazier is kicking 55 million kids out of school. Where is the outrage from the rational American people? Sadly, this irrational hysteria has been stoked by the “Fake News” to increase viewers. My personal bet is that the Democrat Party also stoked this hysterical irrational fear to hurt President Trump’s reelection. That is my personal opinion but if I am right, that means Democrats have caused massive pain to at least 128 million Americans for purely political reason. If I am right, that is treason.

So folks, now that you know this, look in the mirror and ask yourself what you should do about this tragedy. Sadly, the election is over so you can’t punish these Dems for 2 years. But you can hold the “Fake News” accountable and start aggressively demanding that your schools be opened immediately to protect your children. If you have not heard these facts you need to change your news sources. And you need to aggressively speak out to your elected politicians and demand to reopen our economy and schools or you will vote them out of office in the next election. Sadly folks, you have been sucker-punched. It is time to get very angry!
