CHICAGO – Next week, Wyoming is joining the growing number of states lifting their state COVID mask mandate in public. However, Illinois still is not one of them.
States with no mask mandates in effect include Idaho, Montana, South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida and Alaska.
Illinois' 7 day new COVID averages have returned to the lows experienced last summer – near 1 percent. But Governor Pritzker has not hinted at a time when Illinois may no longer required masks in public.
