Steve Cortes Lost Betting Against Trump in 2024 Primary — Now He’s Betting on Dabrowski to Win in Illinois

By Randy Rossi -

Rasmussen released a poll on 7/21/2021 that proves that a majority of Americans get the “Big Picture” and understand what is a real threat to our great republic. While 49% of Americans do support Nancy Pelosi’s investigation of the one day “Capitol Riots”, 66% of Americans want a formal investigation of the BLM/ANTIFA riots that caused $2 billion of damage to 140 cities over 200 days. Those riots are the most expensive riots in US history. That means that 34% more Americans want a BLM/ANTIFA investigation vs. the Capitol riots investigation! Yet the Democrat controlled House has not done an investigation of the BLM/ANTIFA riots, while they have started an investigation of the one day Capitol riots. While the initial peaceful capitol protests on January 6 involving over 100,000 protestors were legal and protected by the 1st Amendment, the much smaller violent protests that caused damage to the Capitol and injured several police officers were indeed illegal and those that broke the law should be prosecuted as the law demands. But let’s compare that one day of illegal riots on the Capitol vs. the 200 days of BLM/ANTIFA riots in 140 cities.

The riots on the capitol lasted one day. Not one building was burned down and nobody was killed by the protesters. Not one protestor used or had a firearm. The only person killed in that Capitol protest was a female Air Force  veteran who served in Afghanistan and Iraq and received multiple awards for her service. She was shot by a capitol police officer whose name has been hidden from the American people. She did not have a weapon and she did not physically threaten anybody. Why was she shot? We don’t know other than she was wearing a Trump flag around her shoulder. Yes, those people who broke the law should be prosecuted, but so far nobody has been charged with insurrection and the only charges filed so far are misdemeanors.

Now lets’ compare that to the 200 days of violent BLM/ANTIFA riots in 140 cities across the nation. Hundreds of businesses and government buildings were torched. Massive looting was widespread. The total cost of those BLM/ANTIFA riots has been estimated at $2 billion. According to the National Police Chiefs Association 2,000 police officers were injured in those riots. It appears that 25 people were killed in those violent riots. 570 people were arrested for violence, there were 624 acts of arson, and 97 police cars were torched. While a total of 16,200 people were arrested in those riots including hundreds of felony arrests, a majority of the people that were arrested in those riots have been released with no charges. Yet hundreds of people that have been arrested for misdemeanors in the Capitol riots are being held in jail for months with no bail. Sound fair to you?

There is one more important piece to this Capitol riot puzzle that we should all consider. Why did Nancy Pelosi not bring in the National Guard to protect the Capitol after being warned that there might be a protest at the Capitol on January 6? After all, the Capitol Police report to her since she is the Speaker of the House. Was it simply gross negligence or did she have an alternate plan? Had she brought in the National Guard as recommended, those protests could have been easily handled. I don’t know the answer, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Pelosi wanted those riots at the Capitol so she could paint President Trump and all the 75 million Americans that voted for him to be labeled “terrorists” and “White Supremists” by Democrats and the “Fake News” to help build up more support for Democrats through hatred. Any way you slice it, the fact that Pelosi and her Democrat team didn’t want to investigate the BLM/ANTIFA riots that caused $2 billion of damage and deaths across the country for 200 days across 140 cities but they do want to investigate a one day riot at the Capitol, doesn’t look very good! Every American should ask why is Pelosi avoiding a BLM/ANTIFA investigation?

Clearly the American people smell something rotten in the way Pelosi and our government is handling these two issues. Obviously it has all turned into politics. Democrats don’t want to agitate minorities by holding violent offenders in the BLM/ANTIFA riots accountable. That would hurt their votes. But they are very happy to apply maximum legal pressure and many say illegal pressure on anybody who supports President Trump and feels that the election may have been “rigged”. While violent or illegal protesters should certainly be prosecuted, peaceful and legal protests are protected by the rule of law and our 1st Amendment. And holding conservative Americans in jail for misdemeanors with no bail while letting violent liberals who have been arrested for violent felonies get out of jail with no charges or no bail is a huge abuse of power and a direct attack on the rule of law.

This is not the justice system or rule of law our Founding Fathers had in mind and it is a direct attack on our freedom and this great republic.
