Have you ever heard of a “cancelled priest?” A couple weeks ago on June 24, 2021, over 1000 people attended a sold out event at the Carlisle Banquet Hall in Lombard, Illinois to discuss the topic. The event was sponsored by “the Coalition for Cancelled Priests.” The event was seen by thousands more on a live stream.
The keynote speakers were Elizabeth Yore and Father James Altman. Altman has been more or less suspended from his parish for speaking out against mandatory vaccines for Covid 19.
In addition he is quoted as saying “You cannot be a Catholic and a Democrat.” This video where he says this has received over 1.3 million views on youtube at https://youtu.be/3-7eoTN2vNM
From their website: The “Coalition for Canceled Priests” is a lay-led non-profit organization formed to combat what they see as “an abuse of power by errant bishops” and provide financial support to priests who are unjustly CANCELED.
