CHICAGO – Despite signing into law a measure that restricts law enforcement officers in unprecedented ways, Governor Pritzker said on Twitter over the weekend that "his heart goes out" to the family of slain Chicago Police Officer Ella French. Her partner continues to fight for his life at the University of Chicago Medical Center and will reportedly soon to be transferred to Northwestern Hospital.
My heart goes out to the family, friends and colleagues of @Chicago_Police officer Ella French — a selfless public servant that we lost at merely 29 years old. May she rest in peace.https://t.co/JdFDu1R0mo
