Last Tuesday over 50 Chicago area nurses rallied and protested in front of Evanston Hospital operated by North Shore University Health Systems. These nurses were once called “essential workers” but now are being threatened with being fired if they don’t take a vaccine for Covid 19. Are they non-essential now?
There are also religious and medical exemptions to vaccine mandates in state law that have been considered in the past. Some people say they might be allergic to items in the vaccine, but a doctor has to sign those exemptions. Most doctors will not, saying signing such an exemption raises a red flag with the state's licensing board. Many Catholics and people of other beliefs object to using aborted fetal tissue and aborted fetal cells in developing and testing the COVID vaccines.
Still most Americans feel medical freedom to choose what is injected into one's body is a number one concern.
