Illinois Review longtime contributor Mark Weyermuller shared sad news that Monday morning his 93 year old mother passed away in her sleep of natural causes after suffering with Alzheimer's and other health issues.

Beverly Chace Weyermuller was born February 28, 1928 in Atkinson, Nebraska. Mrs. Weyermuller graduated from Northwestern University in 1950 met and married her husband Gordon at Northwestern University's Chapel in 1955. At age 70, she earned a masters degree in family counseling at Roosevelt University.
During her early years, Mrs. Weyermuller had the opportunity to work for the late First Lady Nancy Davis Reagan's father Dr. Loyal Davis when he was at Northwestern University.
Mrs. Weyermuller's husband Gordon preceded his wife in death in 1994. Mark's sister Mary died in 2021.
Mark writes, "Thank you to my family and friends for the support as I’ve often posted photos from my visits. as her journey called life has ended. My mom had a wonderful life and brought great joy to many people."
